2018 Edinburgh Mela Programme

From Bhangra super-stars to Bollywood spectaculars, catch the biggest and best acts from around the world live on the Main Stage.

Our programme of events kick off on Friday 31st August with the incredible Shooglenifty & Dhun Dora.  When these two bands appear on stage together there is a meeting of minds and of cultures. Formed thousands of miles apart and yet with so much in common, the two combos have worked together for nearly four years and the bonds that bind them are stronger than ever.

Their special new album, ‘Written in Water’, will be launched at the Mela in August 2018. It is a new recording project that is a memorial and celebration of past band members.
